After any accident involving a drunk driver, it's important to find out where that alcohol came from. In Texas, dram shop law says that an alcohol provider who over-serves an obviously intoxicated person can be liable for damages resulting from that intoxication. whether that's a bar, restaurant, liquor store, or even a gas station, a business breaking the law and getting people hurt needs to be held accountable. The fact dram shop can do this while also getting folks some much needed help makes it a powerful tool available to Texans.

Unfortunately, this isn't the sort of thing authorities tend to look into on their own. That's why it's usually best to ensure independent investigators look into things as soon as possible so folks have as much evidence as possible working toward the resolution they deserve.
