Keshawn Thompson, Single-Vehicle Accident Fort Worth, TX

Folks will likely hone in on the detail this group was coming from a local bar, but it's important to avoid jumping to conclusions. For all we know, this driver was the responsible designated driver for their friends, and some other factors occurred. Now, alcohol is always important to consider, of course. That's especially true if a local bar over-served the driver, since that establishment could be then be liable under dram shop law for their role in the crash. But until experienced investigators consider other possibilities--even unlikely factors like mechanical issues or defective products--folks should withhold their judgments and focus on what can be done for the victims.
