Commentary on Peng Thang Car Accident in Lewisville

People are rightfully concerned anytime reports bring up alcohol, but it's important to remember that these preliminary reports rarely tell the whole story. Even if alcohol was a factor here, there could be outside parties responsible for the resulting injuries. This is due to dram shop law, which says that an alcohol provider who over-serves an obviously intoxicated person can be liable for damages resulting from that intoxication.

Beyond that however, authorities still need to consider other possible explanations. Even a medical emergency or mechanical issue may have contributed to the situation, and overlooking something just because it seems unlikely isn't going to do any good. After all, the priority should not be to look for someone to blame but rather to get folks the help they need. Are those steps being taken here?
