Commentary on Dual Truck Accident on I-94 in Albion Township

To be rather blunt, when reports say that a semi-truck "collided with a car," it raises some red flags that the truck driver may have done something wrong. However, I also consistently tell folks never to jump to conclusions just because of some inconclusive wording. A truck driver can hit someone because they're on their phone, but they can also hit someone that recklessly cuts them off.

At the end of the day, it takes thorough, experienced investigators to dig through the details and figure out what exactly went wrong. Quite frankly, waiting around for the police likely isn't enough to really get a grieving family the answers the deserve. It would likely take more thorough independent investigations from experienced accident reconstructionists to consider things like maintenance records, speeds, cell phone records, driver history, road conditions, safety features and whether or not they worked properly, possible manufacturing defects, and other unusual factors authorities don't often consider. Are those steps being taken here?
