One concern I always have in situations like this is that folks will be quick to jump to conclusions. Even in reports where the facts seem clear, folks need to understand that these early reports often overlook important extenuating factors. As common as things like alcohol and fatigue are, investigators must also have the experience and tools to look into things like mechanical issues, road hazards, and medical emergencies. If nothing else, there's a family out there that deserves to know the full story, and jumping to conclusions isn't going to do any good.
