Commentary on Nathaniel Taylor McGowan Motorcycle Accident in Jacksonville

Based on where the motorcycle hit the Jeep and the reported directions of the vehicles, it seems very likely that the Jeep turned into the path of the motorcyclist. Now, I can't say if that's true or who did or didn't have the right-of-way here. But even if police came out tomorrow and put all the blame on the Jeep driver, there would still likely be challenges that generally require more thorough investigations to overcome. This is due simply to the fact that a lot of people think poorly of motorcyclists.

Nathaniel Taylor McGowan Motorcycle Accident Jacksonville, TX

It's incredibly common for people to automatically blame motorcyclists when reading about a crash. They just assume the motorcyclist was recklessly speeding or otherwise doing something dangerous. Insurance companies, who seek only to avoid as much responsibility as possible, understand this bias all too well. That's why they do everything in their power to shift blame onto victims to help their case. Without clear and convincing evidence, their efforts can prove detrimental for victims and families. That's why it's so prudent to take immediate steps to ensure there is as much information available as possible. Are those steps being taken here?
