These accidents typically seem straight-forward, considering there's not many scenarios where a train can be at fault for an accident like this, but that doesn't automatically mean the truck driver did anything wrong, either. For all we know, there was some sudden mechanical issue or another driver involved reports didn't mention. It's also possible, if less common, for there to be issues with the railroad crossing. Maybe there is overgrowth blocking signs, the gates malfunction, the signals don't go off, etc. Have there been any issues at this crossing in the past? Put simply, looking into all of these possible factors is crucial for getting someone whatever help is available to them. It remains to be seen if those steps are being taken here.
