Commentary on Single-Vehicle Accident on Texoma Parkway in Sherman

To be frank, 11:00 a.m. is an unusual time for someone to be driving drunk. Is it unheard of? Of course not, and it does warrant consideration. That's especially true considering dram shop law. For example, if evidence shows someone had too much to drink at brunch, and it led to an accident, the brunch spot could actually be liable for contributing to the crash. With that said, I'd also emphasize the importance of investigating other possible factors. Even if some things like mechanical issues, medical conditions, or tire blowouts seem unlikely, making sure all of these possibilities get attention is a prudent step toward ensuring folks get the help they deserve. It's unclear if authorities are taking those steps themselves.
