Commentary on Truck Accident on Bulverde Road in San Antonio
Rear-end collisions like this are often seen as open-and-shut, but they can present unique challenges that require thorough investigations from professionals to overcome. For example, I handled a situation not long ago with very similar details. A car slowed to make a turn, and truck rear-ended it. The trucking company denied responsibility, saying that the car slammed on its brakes without using a blinker. So how did we overcome this obvious blame shifting?
While police reports didn't clear up much, our investigations dug up surveillance footage from a nearby business which clearly showed the car come to a controlled stop for about six full seconds with its blinker clearly on. The truck driver simply wasn't paying attention, and by the time the hit the brakes, it was too late. Only after our efforts did the trucking company finally cooperate with he victims. Maybe the evidence surrounding this crash will be a bit more obvious, but it's best to safe when it comes to getting people the help they need.
