One Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Slide Road in Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX -- April 13, 2022, one person was injured due to an accident where a car and a motorcycle crashed along Slide Road.

Investigators reported that the crash took place late Wednesday off the corner of 55th and Slide. Right now, the cause of the crash remains unclear. A motorcycle and a car collided, causing one person to suffer serious injuries. Additional details about the crash are unavailable.

It's not entirely clear what happened here, and I can only hope steps are being taken to give the incident the attention it deserves. I've often found that people are quick to jump to conclusions with motorcycle wrecks. A lot of people just assume that motorcyclists are always reckless. That can be true, and maybe that happened here. But jumping to conclusions isn't going to help anyone. There are plenty of drivers out there not keeping a proper lookout for smaller vehicles like motorcycles. Hopefully professionals are handling this so that the facts, not baseless assumptions, can say what happened here.
