Commentary on Heather Yates Car Accident in Overton

Heather Yates Car Accident Overton, TX

It's obviously serious anytime alcohol comes up, though it's possible police are simply speculating. There could very well have been an animal in the road, and there may have even been other factors at play. If alcohol was a factor, did a local establishment illegally over-serve the victim? That business could be liable for contributing to the victim's injuries under dram shop law. But if alcohol wasn't a factor, did the victim's airbags and seatbelt function properly? Was there a tire blowout? Defects with the roadway? Did authorities ever locate a potential animal in the road? Did they even bother to look? Making sure people are getting the full story is crucial on any path to getting them the help they need, as well. Whether or not anyone took those steps here remains to be seen.
