Commentary on Christina Ann Corona Single-Vehicle Accident on I-10 at Parkway in Boerne
The details surrounding this accident can't be confirmed right now, but I bet that won't stop some folks from jumping to all kinds of conclusions. Early in the morning, people tend to assume a driver was on their phone, fatigued, or drunk. These are all certainly possible and worth attention. There could even be unique avenues to get the victims help depending on those factors.
But it's important investigators are experienced enough to also consider less likely possibilities. Something like a mechanical defect, for example, is relatively uncommon. Ruling it out without clear evidence, though, only serves to potentially let important details slip through the cracks. The priority should be to see if there is any avenue to get the victims and families involved the help they need, and that means ensuring they're getting the full story.
