Jack Dejohn Jr. Injured in Truck Accident on US-13 near Eastover, NC

Eastover, NC -- January 31, 2022, 46-year-old Jack Dejohn Jr. was critically injured in a tractor-trailer accident on U.S. Highway 13 near Eastover.

Authorities say the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. on US-13 (Goldsboro Road) at Pembroke Lane, near Interstate 95. Preliminary investigation suggests Dejohn was driving a Kenworth tanker truck east on the highway when he reportedly attempted to make a U-turn from the right lane. The tanker entered the left lane and was hit by an eastbound Freightliner semi-truck driven by 28-year-odl Ryan Miller. Both trucks overturned after the collision but neither spilled its cargo.

Dejohn suffered critical injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital. Miller was reportedly unhurt.
