Crockett County, TX Tow Truck Tire Blowout Accident I-10

To be blunt, my experience tells me it was not a defect that caused this tire to blow out. Authorities often bring this up simply to be thorough. It is far more common that something punctured the tire or that the tire was worn and needed to be replaced. However, I often push back against folks on this blog who thing those are the only possibilities. Authorities looking into a defect may often prove to be little more than a precaution, but it's an important one to take. As rare as it may be, a manufacturing issue can lead to a crash like this, and it's important to let the evidence speak for itself. Depending on what the evidence says here, there may be a lot more to this crash than the reports let on.
