Commentary on Lioncio Munoz Single-Vehicle Accident in Kendall County
Since police mentioned alcohol as a possible factor here, that could certainly explain what led to the crash. It's not my place to say if that's true or not, but it's important to consider since folks can sometimes be the victim of a business illegally over-serving them to the point their intoxication gets them or someone else hurt. Those businesses can be liable under dram shop law, and I would never suggest overlooking that possibility. That said, have authorities taken steps to look into other possibilities. Were there any mechanical issues? Road hazards? Tire blowouts? A medical condition? These preliminary reports rarely tell the whole story, and experience taught me its best to give people some benefit of the doubt so the evidence can speak for itself.
