Commentary on Big Rig Accident on New Laredo Highway in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX Big Rig Accident pitluk avenue New Laredo Highway

This early in the morning, my concern is that folks are often quick to jump to conclusions. People tend to assume that something like fatigue, alcohol, or distracted driving led to the crash. Those are all certainly common factors, but jumping to conclusions isn't going to help anyone. A prudent investigator knows to also look at things like road design, tire blowouts, medical emergencies, mechanical defects, and other possible factors. Even if some of those possibilities are unlikely, making sure folks get the full story should be the priority. The question now is if the authorities are actually giving the crash the attention it deserves or if that will require efforts from more experienced independent investigators.
