Commentary on Lance Egbert-Willis Pedestrian Accident in Fort Worth

Lance Egbert-Willis Car Accident Fort Worth, TX

Since reports say this happened at an intersection, the implication seems to be this did not happen on the main lanes. Maybe that's just unclear reporting, but folks tend to overlook pedestrian accidents along highway because they figure the victim was where they shouldn't have been. That could still be true even if the incident happened off main lanes. The most up to date images of this intersection I can find show a relatively isolated area with little in the way of lighting. But that doesn't automatically mean the pedestrian was in the wrong here. If they were clearly visible, and a reasonably prudent driver could have avoided them, then a driver failing to avoid them would be important to address. Otherwise, perhaps the driver had no way to avoid this tragedy. Especially at 2:00 a.m. when factors such as alcohol are incredibly common, taking steps to find out exactly what all happened here will be crucial for getting a family the answers they deserve.
