It's not entirely clear what happened here, but that's not exactly unusual following a complex truck wreck. Especially with a truck overturning onto another vehicle, the scene can be pretty chaotic. Making sure the authorities aren't overlooking anything is important to ensure victims and families have all the facts they need going forward.

I can't begin to count how many families have come to me over the years after crashes like this because they waited for police reports only to find they barely scratched the surface. Investigating a commercial truck like this takes years of experience, state-of-the-art tools, and oftentimes legal experience to utilize the courts and get evidence that isn't readily available without a court order. As skilled and dedicated as many officers are, their departments don't always give them the tools they need to do their jobs properly. That's why it's more prudent to make sure independent accident reconstructionists look into the details as soon as possible. Are those steps being taken here?
