This is quite the series of events, but I'm not here to sit around bad mouthing anyone. The allegations are between them and the authorities. Instead, it's important to look at crashes like these since they're so common and discuss what the law says about them in regards to the victims. Generally speaking, if alcohol contributes to a crash, it's important to find out where the alcohol came from.

This is due to Dram Shop Law, which says that an alcohol provider who over-serves an obviously intoxicated person can be liable for damages resulting from that intoxication. Not only is that important to consider for the victims, it's also an important tool to hold those businesses accountable to make the community safer. Are steps being taken here to ensure authorities have the full story?
