With reports like these, sometimes folks are quick to move on. They just see a pedestrian on the interstate and figure that person's automatically responsible for being in a dangerous area. But looking at the reports, there is some uncertainty about where exactly the pedestrian was. Some reports suggest the pedestrian was on the shoulder. If that's true, how exactly did the semi-truck manage to hit them?

Pedestrian Semi-Truck Accident I-80 Lovelock, NV

Did the collision happen in the marked construction zone, and the truck was pulling into it? Did the semi somehow drift over the fog line? Was the pedestrian actually in a lane of travel? It may seem like those are the kinds of things authorities would be on top of, but they don't always give these accidents the attention they deserve. That's why it's important to make sure experienced accident reconstructionists are able to put the facts together.
