Andre Hood Killed, Marquez McDowell Injured in Truck Crash on I-40 in Caddo County, OK
Caddo County, OK -- July 31, 2021, 59-year-old truck driver Andre Hood was killed after his semi-truck went airborne and crashed on Interstate 40 in Caddo County.
Authorities say the incident happened Saturday on I-40 near Hinton. Preliminary investigation suggests that the Freightliner 18-wheeler was traveling east on the interstate when driver Hood allegedly lost control for unknown reasons. The truck left the roadway to the right and traveled roughly 1,300 feet before briefly going airborne and crashing into an embankment on the roadside.
Hood suffered fatal injuries in the wreck. A passenger in the truck, later identified as 27-year-old Marquez McDowell, suffered severe injuries after being ejected during the crash.
