Alfonso Chacon Jr. Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Lomaland and Yermoland in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX -- January 12, 2021, 26-year-old Alfonso Louis Chacon Jr. was killed in a collision involving a motorcycle in the Lower Valley area of El Paso.

Authorities say the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Lomaland and Yermoland drives. A witness told investigators that a motorcycle operated by Chacon was headed south on Lomaland when he allegedly disregarded a red light and traveled into the intersection at a high rate of speed. Chacon then collided with a vehicle turning on a green light, driven by 59-year-old Maria Hernandez Wilson.

Chacon, who police said was not wearing a helmet, died of his injuries at the scene. Wilson was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
