Truck Driver Injured in Semi-Truck Rollover Accident on Route 31 in Donegal Township, PA
Donegal Township, PA -- January 12, 2021, one person sustained injuries after an accident where a tractor-trailer overturned along Route 31.
Investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police reported that the crash happened at around 9:20 a.m. in the area of Route 31 and Route 381.
According to initial reports, a tractor-trailer was traveling along the highway when it somehow drifted off the side of Route 31. There, the truck overturned into a wooded area, trapping the unidentified driver. Rescue teams were able to transport the truck driver to a hospital with injuries said to be minor. Right now, the cause of the crash remains unclear.

These reports say there were only minor injuries, and I certainly hope that's true. The fact of the matter is preliminary news reports aren't the best source for how serious an injury truly is. I had a case not long ago where a commercial vehicle driver had "minor" back pain. Days after he got the all clear, he could barely move due to excruciating pain. Further tests revealed he had a ruptured disk that needed surgery. Pretty far from minor. Again, I hope that didn't happen here, but it's one of the reasons why I always take a truck wreck like this seriously no matter what injuries are in the reports.
