John D. Howell, Jeremy T. Boyd Injured in Car Accident in Vernon County, MO

Vernon County, MO -- October 15, 2020, John D. Howell, 53, and Jeremy T. Boyd, 41, were injured in a single-vehicle wreck early Thursday morning in Vernon County, Missouri.

Howell traveled westbound in a 1992 Ford F-150 pickup truck on Younger Road when he failed to negotiate a T-interection, according to the online traffic report. Trooper B. P. O'Sullivan of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the truck crashed less then two miles southwest of Bronaugh around 1:35 a.m.

Howell suffered serious injuries. Medflight transported him to Freeman Hospital in Joplin for treatment. Howell's passenger, Boyd, suffered minor injuries. He was taken by private vehicle to a hospital for treatment. The pickup truck was totaled in the wreck. Southeast Auto of Nevada cleared the vehicle from the scene.
