4 Killed in Apartment Fire in Bronx, NY on Grand Concourse

Bronx, NY -- March 31, 2020, Four people died in a fire at an apartment building.

The events in question occurred around 7:20 pm on the sixth floor of the building, located on Grand Concourse, near East Mount Eden Avenue.

According to the most current information released to media outlets by witnesses and local investigators, the blaze is believed to have been started by a space heater left on in the bedroom of an elderly resident. It then spread throughout the top floor, becoming a three-alarm blaze before being extinguished.

Four residents of the complex were taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
