One Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident at South River and 2nd Street in Aurora, IL

Aurora, IL Reports from the Illinois State Police working alongside local law enforcement have not yet named the person that was killed in a hit-and-run car accident that was reported in Aurora, IL on Monday, January 13th, 2020.

Investigators indicated that an as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were struck by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or making an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic at or near the intersection of South River Street and 2nd Street, and that the victim was pronounced dead of their injuries after the accident. Authorities are still trying to find the offending driver, who fled the scene of the accident.
