James Kilburn Killed in 18-Wheeler Accident on MS-27 in Warren County, MS

Warren County, MS -- On October 9, 2019, 40-year-old James Kilburn was killed when his SUV collided with a tractor-trailer on State Route 27 in Warren County.

According to authorities with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the incident happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Route 27 near Paxton Road. Investigators say Kilburn was driving a northbound Honda Pilot when he tried to pass a Honda Accord. Kilburn reportedly lost control of the Pilot and drove into the path of a southbound 18-wheeler, hitting it head-on.

Kilburn was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
