Two Injured in School Bus/18-Wheeler Accident on I-85 in Spartanburg, SC

Spartanburg County, SC -- On October 8, 2019, two people were injured in a collision between a school bus and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say the incident happened early Tuesday morning on southbound I-85 near mile marker 68. It's unclear what caused the accident, but investigators say a semi truck rear-ended a school bus in the area. No children were aboard the bus at the time, but two staff members on the bus suffered minor injuries.

The tractor trailer driver was cited with driving too fast for conditions.
