Jerry and Madeleine Vessell Killed After Home Fire near Troup, TX

According to local news reports, Jerry and Madeleine Vessell, 68 and 66, were killed on Sunday after their log home caught fire. Authorities in Cherokee County said that the Vessells were at home when an explosion occurred and the house caught fire, killing them both.

The cause of the explosion was not determined, but some news reports said that it may have been propane-related. The fire started at approximately 11:30 a.m. on December 30, 2012.
