Mark Anthony Rodriguez and Gabriel Joel De Leon died in a rollover accident

On April 8, 2008 state troopers investigated the scene of a single vehicle accident two miles east of Muleshoe. The vehicle was occupied by 23-year-old Mark Anthony Rodriguez and 25-year-old Gabriel Joel De Leon. Both occupants died at the scene. Troopers believe the driver fell asleep at the wheel which resulted in the car veering off of the roadway. As the car left the roadway it appears the vehicle rolled over resulting in both men being ejected from the vehicle.
