On Friday, March 5, a bus crash in Phoenix, AZ claimed the lives of six victims. Officials have now determined that the brakes on the bus were in poor condition and the bus should have been taken off the road. The exact cause of the accident, however, has not been determined and the investigation continues.
Transportation companies have a responsibility to do everything they can to protect the safety of their passengers. When they neglect this responsibility by skipping routine maintenance and repairs, they can be held liable for the accidents that result. Unfortunately, filing a wrongful death lawsuit in this situation is not an easy task. I have worked on these types of cases for twenty years, and I have seen companies go to extraordinary lengths to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But ultimately, the law is on your side. With the help of an experienced wrongful death attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your family member's death are held accountable for their negligence.
