On Friday, March 5, Christopher Whalen was crushed by a large pipe in an oilfield accident near Beach, ND. Whalen was taken to a nearby hospital, but on Saturday, he died of his injuries. Officials are still investigating the accident.
Losing a family member is a devastating emotional experience. When such a loss is caused by another person's negligence, family members may wish to sue for wrongful death. Unfortunately, this is never an easy task. I have worked on these types of cases for twenty years, and in my experience, people will go to any lengths to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But the truth is this: the law is on your side, and with the help of an experienced wrongful death attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your loved one's death are brought to justice.
