On Saturday, March 6, Debra Schiebel was killed in a tragic 18 wheeler accident in Washington DC. Schiebel was crossing the street on foot when she was struck and killed by an 18 wheeler. Police believe that the driver was not aware an accident had occurred. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Losing a family member is a devastating experience. When such a loss is caused by another person's negligence, the victim's family members may wish to file a wrongful death lawsuit. I wish I could say that this is a simple process, but in my experience, people will do almost anything to avoid being held responsible for an accident. But the truth is this: the law is on your side. With the help of a legal professional with wrongful death experience, you can be sure that those responsible for your family member's death are held accountable.
