On Tuesday, March 9, a pedestrian was struck and killed by an 18 wheeler just south of Easton, CA. The victim's identity has not been made public. Police are still investigating the details of the incident.
Drivers are obligated to consider the safety of others while they are behind the wheel. When this obligation is ignored and a victim is hurt or killed, family members may wish to file a lawsuit. Unfortunately, this is never easy. I have worked on wrongful death cases for twenty years, and I have seen people go to extraordinary lengths to avoid being held responsible for an accident. But the truth is this: the laws are in place to protect victims and their families, and with the help of an experienced wrongful death attorney, those responsible for your loved one's death can be held accountable for their negligence.
