On Monday, March 8, a thirteen-year-old girl was killed in a tragic accident near Frazeysburg, OH. Police report that the girl was riding in a car driven by Amy Caplinger when another vehicle, driven by Zakery McClound, tried to pass another vehicle and collided with Caplinger's vehicle. Police are still investigating the incident. No charges have yet been filed.
Losing a family member in this kind of accident is a terrible tragedy. When an accident like this is caused by another person's negligent actions, family members of the victim may wish to sue for wrongful death. Unfortunately, this is a very difficult task. I have worked on wrongful death lawsuits for twenty years, and I have seen what people are willing to do in order to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But the truth is that the law is on your side, and with the help of an experienced wrongful death lawyer, you can be sure that those responsible for your loved one's death are brought to justice.
