On March 7, a pedestrian in Fillmore, CA was killed in a tragic accident. Police report that the 33-year-old male was crossing the street when he was struck by a Buick driven by Harim Gonzalez. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he died of his injuries. Police are still investigating.
Drivers are responsible for making sure that they do not put other people in danger with their actions. When this responsibility is ignored, victims or victims' families may be able to seek justice through a lawsuit. Unfortunately, this is never easy. I have worked on wrongful death lawsuits for twenty years, and in my experience, people will do everything they can to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But the truth is this: the law is on your side, and with the help of an experienced attorney, you can be sure that those responsible for your loved one's death are held accountable.
