UNT student killed in Dallas 18-wheeler accident
UPDATE!
Moments after I became aware of the horrendous accident mentioned below I added some commentary to this blog relaying some of the specifics of the accident. The following day the news media made new information available and I felt it necessary to update the blog entry to highlight the specifics of the accident but more importantly to shed some light on the story of Ashley Parra, the young girl who lost her life in the accident.
Ahsley Parra took the same road to work she normally takes when her vehicle was crushed by an 18-wheeler that fell from an overpass above. Ahsley was a student at the University of North Texas and a waitress at a local restaurant. She was loved by many but perhaps none more so than her grandmother who raised her from the age of nine. Her grandmother , who was obviously devatstated by the tragic accident, shared some kind words and her memories of Ashley with local reporters.
Ahley had many friends and admirers and those that knew her best described her as one of a kind.
David Semonellis of Bedford, TX., the truck's driver, was thrown from the truck and died at the scene as well.

What bad luck. What are the odds that a trailer would be loaded wrong, then be going over an overpass, with a young girl underneath? I guess when its time to go, its time to go.
I do feel bad for her family and hope their faith provides them some support.
