If you have lost a loved one to the negligence of another in a pedestrian accident, one of the first things you need to do is discuss your case with a wrongful death attorney. Many people do not fully understand why they would need to bring a wrongful death claim after a tragedy like this. The truth is, there are two main reasons. The first is to recover compensation for your loss. You may not realize the financial burden that you may face after a family member's wrongful death. When you speak with an attorney, they can review all of the damages that you may face in relation to the accident. The second reason to file a wrongful death claim is to force the guilty party to change their ways so that no one else has to suffer the same fate.
