Pennsylvania man Robert Ali killed in accident with hit-and-run truck
60-year-old Robert Ali was involved in a fatal crash with a semi-truck on Thursday, January 14th, 2010. Ali was driving his pick-up truck down Route 80, when a tractor-trailer veered into his lane and struck his vehicle. The collision caused Ali to veer off the road, collide with a guardrail, and be ejected from the vehicle as it crossed back over the 3-lane road. Though he was alert and conscious when rushed to the hospital, Robert Bob Ali was pronounced dead at 12:29 p.m. The driver of the 18-wheeler did not stop, and police are seeking information on it and it's driver.
If a loved one has been wrongly killed in an accident with a commercial truck, you may be considering filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver. Before you attempt to recover damages yourself, you should speak with an attorney about your situation. Often times semi-truck insurance carriers will attempt to trick you into damaging your own case. Simply not knowing the proper wording to use, or missing a deadline can severely damage your case and leave you with no legal recourse to recover monetary compensation. An attorney will fight for you to recover what you rightfully deserve, often at no cost unless you win!
