Authorities in Charlemont MA stated that a fatal head-on collision between a motorcycle and a car. The accident happened on July 21 2012 at about 4:00 in the afternoon along Route 2. Sources said that 56-year old Douglas Chouinard was riding east on Route 2 with his motorcycle when 17-year old Jacob Earl crossed over the center line from westbound traffic.
Earls car crashed into Chouinards bike in a head-on collision fatally injuring Chouinard. He was taken to a nearby hospital but had died later that evening from his injuries. Earl was not injured in the accident but may face charges for the accident police said.
