A tree removal worker was killed in a Texas work accident on Thursday January 14th 2010. The man whos name has been withheld until his family is notified was hired to remove a 30-40 foot tree from the front yard of a 1-story home. This morning the individual and three others came to remove the tree. They made cuts to the base of the tree and then realized that some higher branches needed to be trimmed first as to not hit the home. The man climbed a ladder to about 15 feet and started trimming branches when suddenly the tree snapped at the trunk. The man was knocked from the ladder to the ground and pinned under the tree. Emergency crews were called to the North Richland Hills home around 10:00 a.m. but the man died from his injuries.
