Bethany, OK Oil worker Donnie Vickery killed by falling pipe
One oil field worker is dead, following a tragic accident at an oil rig in Bethany, Oklahoma. On Friday, January 1st, workers were lifting an almost 2-ton pipe, when the pipe broke free and crash landed into a mobile trailer. 35-year-old Donnie Vickery of Noble, OK was inside the trailer and was killed instantly when the pipe landed on top of him.
Fatal workplace accidents are unfortunately not as uncommon as one might think. Employers are required to keep a safe workplace and do all they can to ensure the safety of their workers. What caused the pipe to fall? Was it human error, an equipment malfunction, a maintenance issue? An experienced wrongful death attorney will find those responsible, and bring a claim against them to recover financial compensation for the victim's family or beneficiary.
