Minivan rear-ended by 18-wheeler, 3-year-old Sean Thornton Killed
One family's holiday vacation was cut short on Sunday, when an 18-wheeler struck their minivan from behind, killing 3-year-old Sean Thornton. Witnesses say they big rig driver, 50-year-old Willie Hill, was speeding when the accident happened. The minivan was pushed off the highway as the two vehicles became entangled, plowed through some trees, and ended up in a swamp. The driver, Susan Thornton is hospitalized in critical condition, while the boy's father and 2 siblings received non-life-threatening injuries. Police say Willie Hill will likely face criminal charges.
