63-year-old Raul Reyes killed by drunk driver at San Antonio flea market
44-year-old Humberto Muñoz-Gonzalez was arrested Wednesday December 16th on intoxicated manslaughter charges, after running down 63-year-old Flea Marker worker Raul Reyes. Early Wednesday morning, Muñoz-Gonzalez drove his Ford F-150 to the Mission Flea Market in San Antonio, driving through the aisles as vendors and employees were preparing for customers. Witnesses said the driver seemed to speed up to about 30 mph before Reyes was hit as he crossed an aisle. Workers and security officers quickly detained the driver, while others tried to free the man under the truck after being drug 60 feet. Officers said the driver smelled of alcohol, and liquor bottles were found inside the truck.
I truly feel for the family of Raul Reyes. In a terrible tragedy such as this, there are going to be many financial hurdles that his family will be forced to endure. Final expenses, loss of future income, & emotional distress are some issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible. To receive fair financial compensation for your losses, the most important thing you can do is to contact a wrongful death attorney. Attempting to file a wrongful death lawsuit without counsel, is generally, a bad idea.
