Commentary It is interesting how this accident was reported in the media. The victim allegedly rear-ended another vehicle, causing both to lose control. For loss of control to occur, speed would more than likely need to exist, indicating this may not have been a standard rear-ending accident. It is contingencies like these that need to be expounded upon by an inspection of the crash site. Was the driver forced to stop for some reason which then led to the accident, or did inattention occur? On the other hand, did either vehicles' design play a role in the effect of the collision? These questions are only answered by inspecting the site and the cars in question, which will probably not be undertaken by police reports.
