The U.S Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning to customers to immediately discontinue the use of all forms of the drug Hydroxycut. The FDA has received more than 20 reports of Hydroxycut users who show symptoms of liver damage, cardiovascular disorders, and a type of muscle damage known as rhabomyolysis which can lead to other serious problems such as liver failure. The most disconcerting part of this FDA warning is that it states that Hydroxycut users can be suffer these symptoms when using the normally reccomended dosage as described by the manufacturer. It is important to note that these side effects are extremely rare. However, Iovate Health Sciences USA Inc., the distributor of Hydroxycut products, has responded by removing all Hydroxcut products from retail stores, thus indicating that there is a realistic cause for concern.
