18-month-old Armin Spencer died after being assaulted by his mother's boyfriend. The incident occurred as 20-year-old Lawrence Parker punched the toddler three times for dropping food on the carpet of a home in the 1000 block of Woodlands Circle. After being hit, the child had trouble breathing and was taken to Cook Childrens for treatment. He was pronounced dead at approximately 11:20 p.m. Parker has been arrested on charges of injury to a child.
