Naples, TX — Two teenagers were killed and two more were injured late Thursday night (September 19, 2013) after a fatal single-car accident along FM 4304 near Naples. According to reports from the Texas DPS and News Channel 7, one of the deceased was identified as 19-year old Tanner Allen, a local Naples resident.
An 18-year old girl in Allen’s pickup truck was also killed, and passengers Arian Martin, 17, and Cayden Richardson, 19, were injured. The accident happened at about 11:00 p.m. on Thursday night as Allen was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck along FM 4304 in wet weather.
For reasons still under investigation, Allen lost control of his truck and swerved off the roadway, hitting a tree. Allen and his front seat passenger, an 18-year old girl, were killed immediately while passengers Martin and Richardson were both moderately injured.
Authorities were called to the scene and they were expected to investigate the matter further. It’s not clear why Allen lost control of his truck, but the wet road conditions may have been a factor.
