Houston, TX — A woman was killed on Cypress Creek Parkway in north Houston this past Sunday after an early-morning car accident. Police have identified the deceased woman as Renee Melton and said that the accident happened at about 12:30 a.m.
According to the Houston Chronicle’s reports, Melton was headed along Cypress Creek Parkway near I-45 early Sunday morning when she lost control of her car, a Nissan Maxima, for unknown reasons and hit the curb.
Her car then swerved across into the oncoming lanes of traffic, where it was hit by a Chevrolet Impala. Melton was killed in the accident and two passengers in the Chevrolet, Leo Collins and Willie Montgomery, were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
It wasn’t clear what caused Melton to lose control of her Nissan.
