Wildwood, MO — Three people were killed and a young woman was injured after a deadly car accident in Wildwood on Thursday night, August 15, 2013. Police said that Christopher Lenzen, 18, was killed along with two sisters, aged 18 and 17, after the car they were in lost control on Homestead Manor Drive.
According to the news reports, the accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. just south of Rieger Road. Lenzen was driving a convertible car along Homestead Manor Drive with three young women as passengers: two sisters, 18 and 17, and Olivia Dames, 18.
Police believe that Lenzen may have been traveling at an unsafe speed when he lost control of the convertible and swerved off the roadway. The car then crashed into a deck located in a residential home’s backyard and drove into a wooded area, where it collided with a tree.
The impact killed the two sisters in the convertible immediately and Lenzen was critically injured. As he was being prepared to be airlifted to a nearby hospital, he passed away. Dames was injured by the accident, but her condition was not given.
Further investigation is ongoing and alcohol was ruled out as a factor.
